Committees/Boards Commission for Studies
The Commission for Studies is a body of the Faculty of Modern Languages appointed by the Faculty Board for purposes concerning teaching and studies.
The Commission for Studies consists of the Dean of Studies as the chairperson, three professors, two representatives of academic staff, and four students. The term of office of the students is one year, while that of the other members is four years. The tasks of the Commission for Studies include, in particular, developing recommendations for further development of subjects and forms of studies, as well as for the use of funds earmarked for study and teaching, and participating in the evaluation of teaching, including student critique of courses. The Commission for Studies acts, under the overall purview of the Dean, on its own initiative, on behalf of the Dean and the Faculty Board, and on the basis of suggestions from the Faculty and students. It usually meets once a month during term-time.

Duties of the Dean of Studies:
The responsibilities of the Dean of Studies include the tasks related to teaching and studies, which are assigned to him/her permanently. In particular, he/she is responsible for ensuring that the courses offered are complete and in accordance with the study and examination regulations. He/she prepares resolutions on the study and examination regulations to be passed, coordinates subject advisory services and ensures redress in the event of complaints regarding studies and examination procedures.
The Dean of Studies as a complaint handling body: Every student has the right to inform the acting Dean of Studies about deficiencies in teaching or the curriculum or about non-compliance with regulations for studies and examinations, and to request that the complaint be discussed in the responsible study committee
